BrightLine Affiliate Program Terms & Conditions
Effective date: September 3, 2026.
1. Program participation and independent relationship
The BrightLine Global Institute Affiliate Program permits eligible independent individuals and organizations to promote eligible BrightLine professional education programs through authorized referral links. Participation does not create employment, agency, partnership, franchise, joint venture, fiduciary relationship, or authority to act for or bind BrightLine.
2. Registration and automatic activation
Registration is self-service. Subject to required information, acceptance of these Terms, technical availability, and applicable requirements, affiliate registration is ordinarily activated automatically without routine manual pre-approval. BrightLine may later restrict, suspend, reject, or terminate participation as permitted by these Terms.
3. Eligible programs and qualifying transactions
Only programs designated by BrightLine as affiliate-eligible may generate commissions. A qualifying transaction is an eligible program purchase completed through a valid referral, actually paid, not fraudulent or invalid, and not excluded under these Terms. BrightLine may exclude taxes, shipping where applicable, coupons or discounts not authorized by BrightLine, refunded amounts, reversals, chargebacks, non-payment, fraudulent activity, and other non-commissionable amounts.
4. Commission calculation
The standard commission is 20% of the eligible net amount paid for a qualifying purchase. BrightLine may change eligible programs, rates, or commission structures prospectively as described below. No commission is earned until a qualifying transaction is validly completed and accepted under these Terms.
5. Attribution period and last-valid-referral rule
A valid referral is ordinarily tracked for 30 days. If more than one valid affiliate referral occurs before a qualifying purchase, the last valid affiliate referral ordinarily receives attribution. BrightLine may reject attribution affected by technical errors, fraud, manipulation, or other invalid activity.
6. Existing customers and multiple eligible purchases
An eligible purchase by an existing BrightLine customer may qualify during an active attribution period. More than one eligible purchase made during an active attribution period may qualify, provided each transaction independently satisfies these Terms. BrightLine does not guarantee that every purchase is affiliate-eligible.
7. Pending commissions and validation
Qualifying commissions ordinarily begin as Pending. BrightLine applies a 14-day validation period before a valid commission may become eligible for payout. Pending status permits review for refunds, cancellations, disputes, reversals, chargebacks, fraud, policy violations, or other legitimate adjustments.
8. Payout threshold and administration
Eligible balances of at least $25 USD are ordinarily processed twice monthly, on or around the 1st and 15th. Balances below the threshold carry forward. Payout timing may depend on payment-provider processing, account verification, accurate payment details, applicable law, technical conditions, and other reasonable administrative requirements. No routine affiliate withdrawal request is required.
9. Refunds, partial refunds, chargebacks, reversals, and invalid transactions
Refunds, partial refunds, cancellations, disputes, chargebacks, payment reversals, fraudulent transactions, invalid transactions, or other legitimate corrections may result in a proportional reduction, rejection, reversal, withholding, or offset of a related commission. If an adjustment occurs after payout, BrightLine may create a negative adjustment and offset it against future eligible earnings to the extent permitted by law.
10. Self-referrals and referral manipulation
Affiliates may not use their own affiliate link to generate commission for their own purchase or arrange self-referrals, fake purchases, circular transactions, cookie stuffing, false tracking, or other referral or commission manipulation. BrightLine may reverse related commissions and take action under these Terms.
11. Affiliate disclosures
Affiliates are responsible for providing clear, conspicuous, accurate, and legally compliant disclosures where required. An approved disclosure is: “Disclosure: I may receive a commission if you enroll in a BrightLine Global Institute training program through my referral link, at no additional cost to you.” Equivalent disclosures may be used when clear and legally compliant.
12. Marketing conduct and prohibited claims
Affiliates must promote BrightLine accurately, lawfully, professionally, and in a manner consistent with the Affiliate Brand & Marketing Standards. Affiliates may not guarantee employment, income, salary, job placement, licensing, accreditation, credential acceptance, immigration outcome, or any program result. Affiliates may not fabricate reviews or testimonials, make false endorsements or partnerships, impersonate BrightLine, create artificial scarcity or false deadlines, use unauthorized coupons or discounts, send unlawful spam, engage in misleading paid advertising, or otherwise make deceptive claims.
13. Intellectual property and brand use
BrightLine grants affiliates a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use approved BrightLine links, descriptions, and brand assets solely for authorized affiliate activity. No ownership, right to represent BrightLine, or other intellectual-property interest is transferred. Affiliates may not alter, misuse, register, copy beyond approved use, or present their own website or social account as an official BrightLine property.
14. Suspension and termination
BrightLine may restrict, suspend, terminate, reverse commissions, or deny access where activity involves fraud, abuse, misleading promotion, unlawful conduct, brand misuse, policy violations, payment risk, sanctions concerns, technical or security risk, or another reasonable business or integrity concern.
15. Effect of termination and unpaid balances
Termination does not automatically forfeit legitimately earned commissions that are otherwise valid and payable. Such balances remain subject to the payout threshold, validation period, payment-provider requirements, applicable law, and any legitimate refund, chargeback, fraud, policy, or other adjustment. BrightLine may withhold, reverse, or offset commissions associated with fraud, abuse, invalid transactions, refunds, chargebacks, policy violations, or other legitimate adjustments, including after termination where permitted by law.
16. Privacy, data handling, taxes, and payment-provider requirements
Affiliates must not misuse personal information. BrightLine may collect, use, retain, and disclose information reasonably necessary for affiliate administration, communication, fraud prevention, payment processing, tax reporting, legal compliance, and enforcement of these Terms, subject to its applicable privacy practices and law. Affiliates are responsible for their own tax obligations and for providing accurate payment and tax information when reasonably required. Participation and payment are subject to payment-provider terms, verification, availability, and restrictions.
17. International participation and legal eligibility
International participation may be available, but BrightLine does not represent that it can accept or pay affiliates in every country or territory. Participation and payment may be subject to applicable law, sanctions and restricted-party requirements, payment-provider availability, tax requirements, currency limitations, verification, and technical limitations. BrightLine may decline, restrict, or terminate participation where required or reasonably appropriate.
18. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BrightLine will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of profits, goodwill, data, or opportunity; or claims arising from affiliate promotion, tracking, payment-provider activity, or program participation. BrightLine’s total liability arising from the Affiliate Program will not exceed the commissions paid or payable to the affiliate during the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
19. Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, affiliates will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless BrightLine and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from the affiliate’s unlawful, misleading, unauthorized, or policy-violating promotion; breach of these Terms; or misuse of BrightLine intellectual property or personal information.
20. Governing law and venue
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to applicable law, disputes arising from these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Connecticut, and each party consents to that venue and jurisdiction.
21. Program, rate, and Terms changes
BrightLine may change, add, remove, or discontinue affiliate-eligible programs, resources, rates, processes, or these Terms prospectively. BrightLine will not retroactively reduce a validly earned commission solely because of a later rate change, subject to legitimate adjustments under these Terms. Continued participation after an effective change constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
